The City Planning and Development Division provides spatial direction to the public and private sector, ensuring the urban form reflects the Capital City with the aim of warranting that services delivery takes place seamlessly, is accessible and responsive to the needs of its local communities. The Department provides guidance towards the design and the development of the Municipality’s spatial form by leading spatial transformation through land use management, spatial planning, development management and facilitation and build environment and enforcement to create an efficient capital city. The department is responsible for the processing of land development applications; from the submission to the linking of the land use rights and other supplementary applications. In support of the City’s drive to improve convenience and service delivery various City Planning requirements are now available on line.

  • Application form for Consent of the Municipality in terms of the Title Deed and the submission of mandatory and other documentation.
  • Consent Use form and the submission of mandatory and other documentation.
  • Permission of Additional Dwelling-house application form and the submission of mandatory and other documentation.
  • Permission Application and the submission of mandatory and other documentation.
  • Application form for Township Establishment or Extension of Township boundaries and the submission of mandatory and other documentation.
  • Application form for a Division of a Township and the submission of mandatory and other documentation.
  • Application form for subdivision and\or consolidation and the submission of mandatory and other documentation.
These solutions aim to replace the use of manual application applications, email applications are forthwith discontinued, and will improve the processing as well as turnaround times for applications within City Planning.
