MasterPass is a free digital wallet app that makes paying your account easier and more convenient.

Here’s how to use it:

1. Download the free MasterPass app from your app store. If your bank doesn’t have a MasterPass app yet, you can download any bank’s MasterPass app, even if you don’t have an account with that bank.For more information on MasterPass

2. Follow the prompts to register your details in the app, and then load your payment cards into the wallet – your MasterCard or Visa cards, including debit, credit and cheque cards.

You are now ready to pay with MasterPass on e-Tshwane

1. Choose the account or accounts you wish to pay.
2. Click on "Pay"
3. Choose MasterPass under "Payment Type"
4. You can use the "Payment for Reconnection" option if your services are suspended for non payment. We will then reconnect you within 4 hours of you releasing the payment

1. A QR code will be displayed on the screen. Open the MasterPass app on your smartphone and scan the QR code.
2. Payment details will be displayed on the MasterPass app. Enter your ATM PIN or One Time PIN to authorise the payment.
3. Payment will reflect within e-Tshwane and your account will be immediately updated.
